For older fans Songs From The Capeman will put a massive smile accross your face. On the Russia charts, superstar Paul Simon’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Jim Jones has compared writing for Paul Simon’s new album to that on ‘Songs From The Capeman’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This album is in perfect progression from Paul Simon!
Some call from Songs From The Capeman as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.
I hope to keep hearing Paul Simon works for a long time to come. Satin Summer Nights which is my favorite is a truly Paul Simon sounding song. Bernadette has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Paul Simon’s strong vocals come to the fore. I have all of Paul Simon’s tracks and The Vampires is probably the most his introspective effort. Simple and heartfelt closing track Quality closes Songs From The Capeman on a high note. Strong, powerful vocals of Paul Simon in Can I Forgive Him are very impressive. I like the agression and power of Sunday Afternoon. Don’t judge Killer Wants To Go To College on the first listening. Best song on the album, love it. Virgil is nothing but pure genius. Killer Wants To Go To College Ii is one of the coolest songs Paul Simon has ever recorded. This track is full of harmonies and gets Songs From The Capeman off to a relaxing start.

Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Hanson on ‘Merry Christmas Baby’. There is so much to love about Hanson, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Hanson’s album Snowed In falls to No. 2 with 949,000, a sales slide of 75%. Snowed In touched my soul like nothing else.
Such hits like will leave you hooked.
Simple and heartfelt closing track What Christmas Means To me closes Snowed In on a high note. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. At Christmas - This one is lively and fun. I hope to keep hearing Hanson works for a long time to come. Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree still maintains something of a specific flourish. Christmas Time one is one of the better boring ones. Everybody Knows The Claus is the song that really did it for me. This track is full of harmonies and gets Snowed In off to a relaxing start. In Silent Night Medley: O Holy Night/Silent Night/O Come All Ye Faithful it becomes nowhere more obvious that Hanson has yet to define own style. White Christmas is the funkiest number on the album.

There is so much to love about Andrew Lloyd Webber, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s album The Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection falls to No. 2 with 780,000, a sales slide of 77%. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Andrew Lloyd Webber has. This album is awesome.
I find myself hearing bits of here and there throughout my waking hours.
02-Unexpected Song gives good insight into the truths. 03-Chanson D’enfance is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. 04-All I Ask Of You (with Cliff Richard) is the marvelous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. The sound of 05-Don’t Cry For Me Argentina is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This song may be the most meaningful. 07-Love Changes Everything - A strong beat. 08-Amigos Para Siempre (with Jose Carreras) on The Andrew Lloyd Webber Collection is solid and easy to listen to. 09-Memory - Okay, I just talked about depth. After about the third 10-Gus The Theatre Cat (with Sir John Gielgud) listen through, I began to believe this song is Andrew Lloyd Webber’s essence. 11-Anything But Lonely - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. 12-Macavity the Mystery Cat is a very catchy tune. Andrew Lloyd Webber rocks harder than ever with 13-Tell Me On A Sunday. 14-Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again is a gorgeous song and it grows on you. 15-Pie Jesu (with Paul Miles-Kingston) to me is the best you can get from Andrew Lloyd Webber. 16-The Music Of The Night is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. After you’ve listened to 17-I Don’t Know To Love Him, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.

This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Tuxedomoon. This disc has all of the essential Tuxedomoon classics. On Ghost Sonata album, Tuxedomoon have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This album is in perfect progression from Tuxedomoon!
Musically is superior to other tracks in Ghost Sonata.
In The Ghost Sonata the music gets its power. Catalyst hits the heart. Simple and heartfelt closing track The Cascade closes Ghost Sonata on a high note. Music Number Two is a marvelous song and it grows on you. An Affair At The Soiree is the most memorable and astounding. A Drowning is another strong production from Tuxedomoon. I love the melodic melody of A Mystic Death and to this day it makes me feel good. In Basso Pomade (Dogs Licking My Heart) full palet of sound is used by Tuxedomoon to accentuate the presentation. Licorice Stick Ostinato - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Music in The Laboratory (Parts 1 & 2) is gorgeous as in all tracks of Ghost Sonata. Music and lyrics of Les Odalisques creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is An Unsigned Postcard because the melody in the chorus is so good. Music Number Two (Reprise) gets you up and jumping.

Lead single “Corn Grinding Song” and “The World How Fair” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. John Digester has compared writing for Roberto Carlos Nakai’s new album to that on ‘Mythic Dreamer’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Roberto Carlos Nakai was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Roberto Carlos Nakai and Mythic Dreamer together. Enjoy the show.
() - awsome.
The World How Fair is simply exquisite. Roberto Carlos Nakai allows each song to breathe and flourish. Fox Song - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Elk Dreamer’s Song is a bit of a show-tune. The Great Mystery Hears Me is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Within the first few notes of Summer Solstice it’s perfectly clear that Roberto Carlos Nakai is living this song. This song stands out greatly from the others. Begging Song has a fun tempo. After you’ve listened to Victory Song, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Get Mythic Dreamer and turn on Eagle Flute Song if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Eagles Gathering as a highlight of Mythic Dreamer contains a ton of cool melodies. Silver Salmon Bear was the first single release from the album Mythic Dreamer. Overall a nice softer song. Coyote Wind is just simply stunning. Swallows And Night Hawks as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Don’t judge Inner Voices on the first listening. Lake That Speaks is probably the highlight of the album.

It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Musicals - Various Artists energies, virtually a rebirth. Musicals - Various Artists was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Musicals - Various Artists and Praise the names of the musical assassins together. For older fans Praise the names of the musical assassins will put a massive smile accross your face. One of Musicals - Various Artists’s best albums yet.
is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done.
Dead Body Love is the first taste of the new album. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Rip You Without Care is perfect and different song. Festered Offals I just LOVE this mix! I like the idea behind Pungent Stench. Musicals - Various Artists sings Extreme Deformity in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Musicals - Various Artists. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Daddy Cruel to me is the best you can get from Musicals - Various Artists. Tony without a doubt is the standout song of Praise the names of the musical assassins. I can’t stop humming along Madcatmachopsychoromantik. Within the first few notes of Extreme Deformity it’s perfectly clear that Musicals - Various Artists is living this song. Festered Offals (2:59) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Pulsating Protoplasma is probably the highlight of the album. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Pungent Stench. Adventures In Foam is an amazing album, racked with beauty. Now signed to Cujo’s EMI Records, the title track from second album “Adventures In Foam” leads Cujo’s back-to-school campaign. This disc has all of the essential Cujo classics. Adventures In Foam is the best essence of Cujo.
rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo.
This track is full of harmonies and gets Adventures In Foam off to a relaxing start. This song stands out greatly from the others. I was truly moved when I heard Cat People. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Paris Streatham because the melody in the chorus is so good. A Vida is a marvelous, simple song by Cujo at the top of his game. Fat Ass Joint the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Vocals of Cujo in The Brazilianaire really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Northstar is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Don’t judge Break Charmer on the first listening. The Sequel is the funkiest number on the album. Reefs Edge (Interval) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. The Sighing is nothing but pure genius. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot.

This track is full of harmonies and gets The Future Sound Of Jazz 4 (CD1) off to a relaxing start.
This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Acid Jazz - Various Artists rocks harder than ever with Donaueschingen (Rainer Truby Trio). Album opener The Hideout (As One) is a bright, upbeat ditty. The sound of Ocean Beat (Tosca) is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. I like Transparent (Reflection) because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Est-Ce Une Gopher Party, Baby (Alex Gopher) on The Future Sound Of Jazz 4 (CD1) is solid and easy to listen to. I loved The Specialist (Karma) the first time I heard it.

eight years ago, Erik Truffaz briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Out of a Dream”. This album has some very good songs like Down Town and Out of a Dream. It has been eight years Erik Truffaz’ last studio CD, “Out of a Dream” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
is the more seemingly obscure song on Out of a Dream that bear up best to repeated listening.
Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Out of a Dream is Out of a Dream. Beaute Bleue is a good listen every once in a while. Erik Truffaz has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Porta Camollia is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Out of a Dream. Indigo is astounding. Saisir - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Erik Truffaz. Elegie (3:23) - awsome. Samara - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Up Town is a song to enjoy for years to come. Get Out of a Dream and turn on Betty if you are going to sip your wine late at night.

After seeing Staten Island Groove, I had to have a good Down To The Bone cd. It’s natural for Down To The Bone to take a stab at ‘Staten Island Groove’ considering her long-professed love for Green Grey. On From Manhattan To Staten album, Down To The Bone have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. I like to sing along with , though I mess up the lyrics sometimes.
I have all of Down To The Bone’s tracks and Brooklyn Heights is probably the most his introspective effort. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Muesli Brown is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Yo Mama’s So Phat is just simply stunning. Touch Of Voodoo is such a exquisite and optimistic song that things can get just better. Put 17 Mile Drive into car stereo for your highway driving No Down To The Bone song has come close to capturing my attention as Carlito’s Way did. 3 Days In Manhattan is a medium tempo tune. On The Corner Of Darcy Street is almost impossible to review.

nine years ago, Manmachineman briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Travelling Bass”. On the Latvia charts, superstar Manmachineman’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Manmachineman’s debut, ‘The Rhytmdesign Rising’, does not fit easily into one genre. Unappreciated gift to Acid Jazz
Manmachineman is hitting on all cylinders in .
Travelling Bass (1:31) a good melody. No Manmachineman song has come close to capturing my attention as Chess did. Electricity Babies - A nice song. Psychedelic Green is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Manmachineman released so far. Funk Corner catches attention immediately, Sundance is a exquisite sing-along. Sunset Blvd defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Arabesque (Night Mix) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. The first time I listened to Time Warp I was struck by its marvelous sound. Mitropa is a bit of a show-tune. Voice of Manmachineman in Maelcum’s Score is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. All Time Back Of My Mind (7:45) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Seemsteam - A classic Manmachineman track. Wuz Goin On ? is one of the coolest songs Manmachineman has ever recorded. Once you hear Threethirtytwopm, you will listen to it over and over. Subway Out - Check out that bassline!

Dance floor sets the tone for the entire album. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Nowhere fast without a doubt is the standout song of 17 Reasons. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Frenzal Rhomb. There were many famous songs of Frenzal Rhomb available. Not So Tough Now isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Such great and happy songs.
is beautiful, yet underrated track.
Punch In The Face is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Disappointment still maintains something of a specific flourish. Parasite had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Wasted is nothing but pure genius. Not So Tough Now - A strong beat. Jesus is astounding. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Not Your Thyme one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Wrong Is Right motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. When I listen to Human Excreta in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Urban Myth is simple, dignified and effective, Frenzal Rhomb refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Music and lyrics of Pants creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. It’s a great pleasure to listen to You Are A Nob from the beginning to the end. Here Today Gone Late Today is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Big Brother. Only one song from Not So Tough Now named Wish You Were There really got me. Simple and heartfelt closing track Something Really Quiet closes Not So Tough Now on a high note. Ben Is A Cunt (Secret Song) is one of the coolest songs Frenzal Rhomb has ever recorded.

Ragazzi Come Tu & Me is probably the highlight of the album. Rude Boys Outta Jail is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Faccia A Faccia - A classic KLASSE KRIMINALE track. Goal! -live is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. C’Era Un Giovane Che Disse gives good insight into the truths. What sets Johnny Too Bad apart is KLASSE KRIMINALE’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Giovani Skins Senza Una Chance is a very catchy tune. Sappiamo Da Dove Veniamo is a very catchy tune. Birra Donne & Ciminiere is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Lungo Il Fiume Di Zinola - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. KLASSE KRIMINALE sings his heart out in If The Kids Are United -live.

Lagwagon was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Lagwagon and Double Plaidinum [VINYL] together. While no new Lagwagon album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1997 tour in Africa. There is so much to love about Lagwagon, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
The song ending is my favorite… so catchy!
I can’t stop playing Making Friends. From the moment you listen to Unfurnished you’re hooked. One Thing to Live - A classic Lagwagon track. Today is the album’s biggest hit, I think. I’ve found myself listening to Confession back to back and back many times. Bad Scene - My least favorite song on this album. The sound of Smile is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I hope to keep hearing Lagwagon works for a long time to come. Choke catches attention immediately, Failure is just simply stunning. This song may be the most meaningful.

It has been fifteen years No Fun At All’ last studio CD, “The Big Knockover” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Since completing 1997’s ‘Alcohol’, No Fun At All fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Now signed to No Fun At All’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “The Big Knockover” leads No Fun At All’s back-to-school campaign. The Big Knockover constantly brilliant.
Music and lyrics of creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming.
Away From The Circle is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after The Big Knockover have ended. No Fun At All offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Catch Me Running Round is one of my favorite songs by No Fun At All. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Nobody Is Perfect make listening to No Fun At All like being in some sort of time warp. Shot By Both Sides is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Sorry Lad is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Suicide Machine as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. From the moment you listen to The Other Side you’re hooked. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. When The Time Comes is outstanding work of No Fun At All. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Don’t judge Get A Grip on the first listening.

When you buy a NOFX album, you know exactly what you’re getting! NOFX had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This disc has all of the essential NOFX classics. One of NOFX’s best albums yet.
is a medium tempo tune.
I came to like Release The Hostages. Liza And Louise - For me, this is the best of the album. Dad’s Bad News is beautiful, yet underrated track. The song feels complete. It’s such an underrated song. Listening to Moron Brothers you can hear that NOFX has still amazing chemistry with band members. Herb is astounding. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. When listening to Perfect Government, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable.

On You Are Freaking Me Out album, Samiam have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. After seeing Full On, I had to have a good Samiam cd. five years ago, Samiam briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “She Found You”. Enjoy the show.
is really a nice song to relax and listen too.
Samiam is hitting on all cylinders in She Found You. Factory is perfect and different song. Ordinary Life sets the tone for the entire album. Opening track If You Say So shows the best of Samiam. Good Enough is a astounding song and it grows on you. This song is dynamic and dramatic. The opening track My Convrnience is very much like you would expect from other albums. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Some call While You Were Waiting from You Are Freaking Me Out as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Out Of My Mind - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Cry Baby Cry is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.

is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood.
Slick Shoes is one of artists that allow his songs like Cliche to stand on their own and be heard. Regrets - Check out that bassline! Rusty is a great opener for Rusty. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Song Proved Me Wrong is actually a funny song. Father Son Picnic is a cool, simple song by Slick Shoes at the top of his game. By What Right still maintains something of a specific flourish. Tired Of You sets the tone for the entire album. This track is clearly meant to showcase Slick Shoes’s vocal abilities. After seeing I’m Zonked, Los Hombres, I had to have a good Dee Dee Ramone cd. While no new Dee Dee Ramone album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1997 tour in Asia. Since Dee Dee Ramone last CD (Ain’t It Fun?) on Sparrow Records back in 1997, I have felt a massive void in my life. Ain’t It Fun? constantly brilliant.
is a exquisite song and it grows on you.
Fix Yourself Up is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. I can’t stop playing I am Seeing UFO’s. Get Off the Scene is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. I have all of Dee Dee Ramone’s tracks and Never Never Again is probably the most his introspective effort. I find myself hearing bits of Get Out Of My Room here and there throughout my waking hours. Someone Who Don’t Fit In - For me, this is the best of the album. In Victim Of Society full palet of sound is used by Dee Dee Ramone to accentuate the presentation. My Chico is one of the more up-tempo songs on Ain’t It Fun?. Disguises still maintains something of a specific flourish. Why Is Everybody Always Against Germay? is probably the highlight of the album. Please Kill Me is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion.

When you buy a Sobut album, you know exactly what you’re getting! On the Hungary charts, superstar Sobut’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Now signed to Sobut’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Judgement Crew” leads Sobut’s back-to-school campaign. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Judgement Crew.
Opening track shows the best of Sobut.
Judgement Crew stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Music of Know is gentle, never overbearing. In Hanging Out Brats you won’t find any flashy solos. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Dog Sigh is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Bicycle rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Daylight is possibly the best song Sobut has come up. Walkin’ In My Shadow gets you up and jumping. Life’s Like The Amount Of Salt is a fine track on any terms. No Surprise is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Forbidden Words is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Judgement Crew have ended. Freeze Or Please - Well, here we get a bit more meaning.

Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Mustard Plug on ‘Beer (Song)’. I am not a real Rock: Punk-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Evildoers Beware!’ really is amazing. This disc has all of the essential Mustard Plug classics. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Box
is outstanding work of Mustard Plug.
Box - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Dressed Up is the more seemingly obscure song on Evildoers Beware! that bear up best to repeated listening. After you’ve listened to Go, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Jerry - For me, this is the best of the album. Mendoza - Mustard Plug first major hit. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Never Be is probably the highlight of the album. It’s such an underrated song. While no new Creed album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1997 tour in Europe. Creed had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. On the Mexico charts, superstar Creed’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Creed is one of my favourite bands of all time.
I like to sing along with , though I mess up the lyrics sometimes.
Ode is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. My Own Prison is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. In Pity For A Dime it becomes nowhere more obvious that Creed has yet to define own style. Still going through My Own Prison and coming to appreciate In America more and more with every listen. Illusion the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Unforgiven is a exquisite, simple song by Creed at the top of his game. Sister - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. What’s This Life For which is my favorite is a truly Creed sounding song. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer.

There is astounding mix of music in This Life. The Time Is Right I just LOVE this mix! Sunshine Baby - My least favorite song on this album. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. MoskovSKAya has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets MoskovSKAya’s strong vocals come to the fore. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Raissa from the beginning to the end. The Longer You Stay is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. My God Listen Ska - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of MoskovSKAya. Tango - I just love it. As always, MoskovSKAya’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Too Late is one of these floating songs. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. From the moment you listen to Banana Banana you’re hooked. The first time I listened to Russian Waltz I was struck by its cool sound.

This is the first studio album from Less Than Jake since bad diagnosis in 1997. It has been nine years Less Than Jake’ last studio CD, “Losing Streak” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. It’s natural for Less Than Jake to take a stab at ‘Automatic’ considering her long-professed love for 2 Unlimited. Such great and happy songs.
is a strong cut, one of many.
Less Than Jake is hitting on all cylinders in Happyman. In 9th At Pine the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Sugar In Your Gas Tank is simply cool. Shindo is one of my favorite songs by Less Than Jake. 107 is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Johny Quest Thinks We’re Sellouts (2:49) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Krazy Glue as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Never Going Back To New Jersey. After few listenings I started to like How’s My Driving, Doug Hastings more and more. Just Like Frank is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Album opener Ask The Magic 8 Ball is a bright, upbeat ditty. Musically Dopeman is superior to other tracks in Losing Streak. Jen Doesn’t Like Me Anymore is the funkiest number on the album. Less Than Jake sings Kock-N-Roll Pizzeria in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Lockdown is a song to enjoy for years to come.

After debuting at No. 1 last week, Craig Mack’s album Operation: Get Down falls to No. 2 with 602,000, a sales slide of 70%. Operation: Get Down is not something you should pass up.
From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
Operation: Get Down couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track What I Need. Jockin’ My Style is a amazing, simple song by Craig Mack at the top of his game. After seeing Me Versus Me, I had to have a good The Diabolical Biz Markie cd. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for The Diabolical Biz Markie’s new album to that on ‘The Biz Never Sleeps’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. For older fans The Biz Never Sleeps will put a massive smile accross your face. This album is in perfect progression from The Diabolical Biz Markie!
This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on The Biz Never Sleeps.
Still going through The Biz Never Sleeps and coming to appreciate A Thing Named Kim more and more with every listen. Mudd Foot defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. After about the third She’s Not Just Another Woman (Monique) listen through, I began to believe this song is The Diabolical Biz Markie’s essence. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. The Dragon is perfect and different song. Spring Again is the albums biggest surprise. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Check It Out. I loved Dedication the first time I heard it. I was truly moved when I heard My Man Rich. I Hear Music - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. I have all of The Diabolical Biz Markie’s tracks and Biz In Harmony is probably the most his introspective effort. Things Get A Little Easter pretty much defines how I feel spiritually.

While no new Rakim album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1997 tour in Australia. Since completing 1997’s ‘Casualties Of War’, Rakim fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Rakim “The Book Of Life” is an amazing album.
The opening track is very much like you would expect from other albums.
Music in Eric B. Is President is cool as in all tracks of The Book Of Life. Voice and instruments in Follow The Leader complement each other. In I Ain’t No Joke Rakim spins a tale you want to hear to the end. I Know You Got Soul hits the heart. In The Ghetto is one of the coolest songs Rakim has ever recorded. Know The Ledge is almost impossible to review. Let The Rhythm Hit’em is a good listen every once in a while. I have all of Rakim’s tracks and Lyrics Of Fury is probably the most his introspective effort. Mahogany is pretty funky and mellow. I listened to the opening track Microphone Fiend and liked it a lot. Such hits like Move The Crowd will leave you hooked. My Melody is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Paid In Full is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. The Punisher is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite.
