This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that 9 Lazy 9 has. Since completing 1995’s ‘5 am’, 9 Lazy 9 fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. ‘The Herb’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
is almost impossible to review.
It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. All Aboard is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Summer is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. This song may be the most meaningful. Brothers of the Red is nothing but pure genius. Take 9 is one of my favorite songs by 9 Lazy 9. Bad Boy - A catchy, upbeat tune. Nice and different song. A fantastic track full of wonder. 9 Lazy 9 offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Smoke It Sometime is a good listen every once in a while. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
