IF YOU LIKE ALL Anita O’Day’S SONG GO FOR IT! There is no doubt that Anita O’Day has talent. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Anita O’Day’s new album to that on ‘Verve Jazz Masters 49′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
is really a nice song to relax and listen too.
I like the agression and power of Boogie Blues. Angel Eyes - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. So much energy, so exciting a sound. The song feels complete. Ten Cents A Dance is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. When listening to Easy Come, Easy Go, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Just In Time - A nice song. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Opening track A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square shows the best of Anita O’Day. Them There Eyes motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. If The Moon Turns Green is beautiful, yet underrated track. Johnny One Note - I just love it. Waiter, Make Mine Blues was the first single release from the album Verve Jazz Masters 49. The first time I listened to What Is This Thing Called Love I was struck by its excellent sound.
