Rubia carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Armik’s debut, ‘Rubia’, does not fit easily into one genre. one years ago, Armik briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Torreros”. If you want to hear real Latin: Flamenco, get this record now!
A great put together song.
Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Torreros is my favorite song on Rubia. Armik sings his heart out in Seychelles. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Veil Of Desire because the melody in the chorus is so good. Romantic Whispers - Okay, I just talked about depth. A great put together song. Music and lyrics of Sapphire Dreams creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Escapade is probably the highlight of the album. Mi Amor - a classic song. Seduction is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Charming song, great melody. After you’ve listened to Rubia, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate.
