This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Arnaldo Antunes has. This is the first studio album from Arnaldo Antunes since bad diagnosis in 1997. Arnaldo Antunes’s debut, ‘O Silencio’, does not fit easily into one genre. Smart music for smart people.
This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor.
O Buraco is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Desce [Version 2] - arguably the best track on O Silencio album. Music in O Que Swingnifica Isso? is amazing as in all tracks of O Silencio. Juizo Final is absolutely incredible. Voice of Arnaldo Antunes in Desce [Version 1] is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. The opening track Inclassificaveis is very much like you would expect from other albums. In Que Te Quero full palet of sound is used by Arnaldo Antunes to accentuate the presentation. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Macha Femeo had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Poder is nothing but pure genius. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in O Silencio. I have all of Arnaldo Antunes’s tracks and E Estamos Conversados is probably the most his introspective effort.
