Lead single “Coro: “Geschwinde, geschwinde, ihr wirbelden Winde” (The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Chor, con. Ton Koopman.)” and “Recitativo (Soprano, Basso I, II): “Und du bist doch so unverschaemt” (The Amsterdam Baroque)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. After seeing Coro: “Geschwinde, geschwinde, ihr wirbelden Winde” (The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Chor, con. Ton Koopman.), I had to have a good Bach, Johann Sebastian cd. Bach, Johann Sebastian was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Bach, Johann Sebastian and BWV 201 together. This album is in perfect progression from Bach, Johann Sebastian!
Music of is gentle, never overbearing.
Recitativo (Soprano, Basso I, II): “Und du bist doch so unverschaemt” (The Amsterdam Baroque) is the first taste of the new album. Aria (Soprano): “Patron, das macht der Wind” (The Amsterdam Baroque) is a very catchy tune. After about the third Recitativo (Alto, Basso I, II): “Was braucht ihr euch zu zanken?” (The Amsterdam Baroque) listen through, I began to believe this song is Bach, Johann Sebastian’s essence. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Recitativo (Soprano, Basso II): “Pan, ruecke deine Kehle nun” (The Amsterdam Baroque) is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Aria (Basso II): “Zu Tanze, zu Sprunge” (The Amsterdam Baroque) is such a excellent and optimistic song that things can get just better. The opening track Recitativo (Alto, Tenore I): “Nunmehro Richter her!” (The Amsterdam Baroque) is very much like you would expect from other albums. Aria (Tenore I): “Phoebus, deine Melodei” (The Amsterdam Baroque) is a exquisite, simple song by Bach, Johann Sebastian at the top of his game. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Recitativo (Soprano, Alto, Tenore I, II, Basso I, II): “Wie, Midas, bist du toll?” (The Amsterdam Baroque) - This is a very lively song. This track is clearly meant to showcase Bach, Johann Sebastian’s vocal abilities. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Bach, Johann Sebastian is hitting on all cylinders in Coro: “Labt das Herz, ihr holden Saiten” (The Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra & Chor, con. Ton Koopman.).
