two years ago, Bal-Sagoth briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Dreaming Of Atlanean Spires”. This disc has all of the essential Bal-Sagoth classics. Bal-Sagoth was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Bal-Sagoth and A Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria together. I Love A Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria from start to finish!
Once gets in your head, it will NEVER leave.
Dreaming Of Atlanean Spires is probably the most interesting track on A Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria. Spellcraft and Moonfire (Behold The Citadel Of Frosts) has a fun tempo. A Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria is pretty funky and mellow. Shadows ‘neath The Black Pyramid - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Bitch-Storm one is one of the better boring ones. No Bal-Sagoth song has come close to capturing my attention as The Ravening did. Into The Silent Shambers Of The Saphhirean Throne is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Bal-Sagoth released so far. Ballen Of Silent Paths - another great track from the A Black Moon Broods Over Lemuria album.
