The Last Men On Earth is an amazing album, racked with beauty. This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Balzac has. While no new Balzac album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in North America. Check it every song is worth the money for the The Last Men On Earth CD!
Within the first few notes of it’s perfectly clear that Balzac is living this song.
Diabolos one is one of the better boring ones. 13 Ghosts can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Balzac is all about. Still going through The Last Men On Earth and coming to appreciate Day The Earth Caught Fire more and more with every listen. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. This song may be the most meaningful. Fiendish Ghouls is simple, dignified and effective, Balzac refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. I came to like Night Tide. Vanishes From Oblivion I just LOVE this mix! This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Psycho In 308 to me is the best you can get from Balzac. Monster II is a fine track on any terms. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Girl From Horrorwood because the melody in the chorus is so good.
