This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Buck-O-Nine has. When you buy a Buck-O-Nine album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Since completing 1997’s ‘Round Kid’, Buck-O-Nine fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Twenty-Eight Teeth.
I can’t stop humming along .
I loved Nineteen the first time I heard it. Alberquerque is Buck-O-Nine’s best work in years. Vocals of Buck-O-Nine in Tear Jerky really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. I’m The Man - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. I like the idea behind Jennifer’s Cold. In Steve Was Dead Buck-O-Nine is at his best. What Happened To My Radio - My least favorite song on this album. Best song on the album, love it. First time I heard You Go You’re Gone was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Buck-O-Nine is hitting on all cylinders in Peach Fish. What sets Record Store apart is Buck-O-Nine’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. After you’ve listened to My Town, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor.
