Since completing 1997’s ‘A Sponge,Two Bricks and A Spring’, Bullitnuts fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. There were many famous songs of Bullitnuts available. This is the first studio album from Bullitnuts since bad diagnosis in 1997. Nut Roast touched my soul like nothing else.
Bullitnuts sings in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved.
Savoir Fare is a excellent song and it grows on you. Lyrics of Dark Horse are precise and evocative. Between The Eyes is one of these floating songs. Listening to Rockskool you can hear that Bullitnuts has still amazing chemistry with band members. Twice As Much is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Lizard Tooth Eye is a bit of a show-tune. Hell For Leather - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This track is full of harmonies and gets Nut Roast off to a relaxing start.
