five years ago, Chris Isaak briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Back On Your Side”. For older fans Baja Sessions will put a massive smile accross your face. There is so much to love about Chris Isaak, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
Back On Your Side is nothing but pure genius. Only the Lonely is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Chris Isaak released so far. Vocals of Chris Isaak in South of the Border really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is I Wonder because the melody in the chorus is so good. Wrong To Love You is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Baja Sessions. A fantastic track full of wonder. Two Hearts stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. I listened to the opening track Return to Me and liked it a lot. Put Dancin’ into car stereo for your highway driving Sweet Leilani is one of the best records ever. Song Think of Tomorrow is actually a funny song.
