Lead single “Fish & Bird” and “To Jueh With Love” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. ‘Birds And Fish’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There is so much to love about Chyi Yu, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Chyi Yu is one of my favourite bands of all time.

In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Chyi Yu. After few listenings I started to like To Have & Have Not more and more. Since You Ask is the more seemingly obscure song on Birds And Fish that bear up best to repeated listening. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Woman & The Child from the beginning to the end. Lovers’ Silence is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Tearless Weeping. Blissfulness one of the best in my collection. Lazy Love is another strong production from Chyi Yu. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Chyi Yu. Bottle Of Sighs as a highlight of Birds And Fish contains a ton of exquisite melodies. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
