On Serenity album, Culture Beat have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. I am not a real Dance music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Serenity’ really is amazing. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Culture Beat energies, virtually a rebirth. Another great offering from Culture Beat.
Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with .
Mr. Vain - Check out that bassline! Got To Get It is a bit different from Culture Beat stereotypical stuff. World In Your Hands is the first taste of the new album. Although Adelante! is very melodic it is far from sad. I like to sing along with Rocket To The Moon, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Anything as a highlight of Serenity contains a ton of exquisite melodies. Key To Your Heart - Culture Beat first major hit. The Other Side Of Me is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Some call The Hurt from Serenity as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Mother Earth is one of my favorite songs by Culture Beat. Serenity (Epilog) hits the heart. A great put together song. ID Jay is probably one of Culture Beat’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to.
