This disc has all of the essential Damn Yankees classics. Now signed to Damn Yankees’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Damn Yankees - Adler and Rose (1994 Broadway Revival Cast)” leads Damn Yankees’s back-to-school campaign. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Damn Yankees has. Damn Yankees - Adler and Rose (1994 Broadway Revival Cast) touched my soul like nothing else.
is a good listen every once in a while.
When I listen to Six Months Out Of Every Year in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Scene The Boyd’s Living Room - A classic Damn Yankees track. Scene The Boyd’s Front Porch has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Goodbye, Old Girl have really caught my ear and imagination. Blooper Ballet sets the tone for the entire album. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Heart is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Although Joe At Bat is very melodic it is far from sad. Voice of Damn Yankees in Shoeless Joe From Hannibal, Mo. is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Once you hear Shoeless Joe (Reprise), you will listen to it over and over. Scene The Press Conference is a bit different from Damn Yankees stereotypical stuff. Scene Applegate’s Apartment gives taste of what makes Damn Yankees special as a musician. The opening track A Little Brains, A Little Talent is very much like you would expect from other albums. Scene The Boyd’s Kitchen - This is a very lively song. I came to like A Man Doesn’t Know. Scene The Locker Room #2 hits the heart. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Whatever Lola Wants from the beginning to the end. Scene Act I Finale is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Musically Who’s Got The Pain is superior to other tracks in Damn Yankees - Adler and Rose (1994 Broadway Revival Cast). So much energy, so exciting a sound. The Game is beautiful, yet underrated track. I like to sing along with Scene The Boyd’s House, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. When listening to Near To You, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Those Were The Good Old Days is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. I hope to keep hearing Damn Yankees works for a long time to come. Scene Limbo is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. What sets Two Lost Souls apart is Damn Yankees’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Song Scene The Bottom Of The Ninth is actually a funny song. Listening to A Man Doesn’t Know (Reprise) you can hear that Damn Yankees has still amazing chemistry with band members.
