After debuting at No. 1 last week, Darkseed’s album Midnight Solemnly Dance falls to No. 2 with 147,000, a sales slide of 68%. Midnight Solemnly Dance isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Darkseed was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Darkseed and Midnight Solemnly Dance together. Great Metal: Gothic right here!
I hope to keep hearing Darkseed works for a long time to come.
Lysander is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Midnight Solemnly Dance have ended. Love’s Heavy Burden is cool work of Darkseed. I’ve found myself listening to The Sealing Day back to back and back many times. After about the third Forgetfulness listen through, I began to believe this song is Darkseed’s essence. As always, Darkseed’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Chariot Wheels which is my favorite is a truly Darkseed sounding song. I have all of Darkseed’s tracks and The Bolt Of Cupid Fell is probably the most his introspective effort. Midnight Solemnly Dance couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Night Mislead. My Worldly Task Is Done is a astounding, simple song by Darkseed at the top of his game. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Winter Noon.
