My Heart is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Since Donell Jones last CD (My Heart) on Virgin Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. It’s natural for Donell Jones to take a stab at ‘In The Hood (Playas Version)’ considering her long-professed love for Ondskapt. This album is awesome.

This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. No Interruptions still maintains something of a specific flourish. The sound in Waiting On You is really warm and Donell Jones’s signature voice is still very much present. I Want You To Know was the first single release from the album My Heart. Although My Heart is very melodic it is far from sad. I think Yearnin’ is the best song Donell Jones has ever done. One listen to the sheer beauty of Wish You Were Here was all I needed. All About You gives taste of what makes Donell Jones special as a musician. I listened to the opening track You Should Know and liked it a lot. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Get My Heart and turn on In The Hood (Remix) if you are going to sip your wine late at night. I came to like Don’t Cry. The Only One You Need pretty much defines how I feel spiritually.
