Lead single “Ah Mio Cor” and “The Secret” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. En Garde had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. There were many famous songs of En Garde available. This is what good Metal: Gothic should be.

The Secret I just LOVE this mix! A Wish is simple, dignified and effective, En Garde refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Statue’s Wandering is absolutely incredible. Jupiter is probably one of En Garde’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. I now have Confession as one of my personal favorites. No En Garde song has come close to capturing my attention as Summer did. Charming song, great melody. Don’t judge La Masque on the first listening.
