When I listen to Third Degree in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Eric Clapton. Musically Hoochie Coochie Man is superior to other tracks in From The Cradle. Five Long Years is a marvelous, simple song by Eric Clapton at the top of his game. I’m Tore Down is a bit of a show-tune. How Long Blues - My least favorite song on this album. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Goin’ Away Baby is my favorite song on From The Cradle. Put Blues Leave Me Alone into car stereo for your highway driving Lyrics of Sinner’s Prayer are precise and evocative. The first time I listened to Motherless Child I was struck by its marvelous sound. This song may be the most meaningful. Someday After A While is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after From The Cradle have ended. This track is a great song that still never gets old. After you’ve listened to Driftin’, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. You have to get essence of the Groaning The Blues’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece.
