This is the first studio album from Geezer since bad diagnosis in 1997. Black Silence isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There is so much to love about Geezer, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. I Love Black Silence from start to finish!
has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Geezer’s strong vocals come to the fore.
Simple and heartfelt closing track Box Of Six closes Black Silence on a high note. Mysterons - a classic song. Department S is beautiful, yet underrated track. I have all of Geezer’s tracks and Area 51 is probably the most his introspective effort. Has To Be is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Among The Cybermen is a striking and quite long song. Xodiak is nothing but pure genius.
