Since completing 1997’s ‘Evocation’, Grabesmond fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. There were many famous songs of Grabesmond available. Mordenheim carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Mordenheim constantly brilliant.
is a bit different from Grabesmond stereotypical stuff.
I hope to keep hearing Grabesmond works for a long time to come. Hoffest is a bit of a show-tune. Listening to Mordenheim you can hear that Grabesmond has still amazing chemistry with band members. In Mitternachtsball the music gets its power. Gravlik Stamma is the song that really did it for me. Music and lyrics of Tranenmeer creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Dimman Kommer Rullande on Mordenheim is solid and easy to listen to. Traumwelt is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Mordenheim. Fortuna I just LOVE this mix! Carneval Of Fear - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Midnattssol is really the reason why I recommend buying Mordenheim. Endzeit is Grabesmond’s best work in years.
