Hammerfall’s debut, ‘Glory To The Brave’, does not fit easily into one genre. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Hammerfall on ‘The Dragon Lies Bleeding’. There is so much to love about Hammerfall, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. The Dragon Lies Bleeding and The Metal Age is really good.
In Hammerfall is at his best.
The Metal Age is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. A unique and uplifting song. I Believe is a bit different from Hammerfall stereotypical stuff. Song Child Of The Damned is actually a funny song. In Steel Meets Steel Hammerfall spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Stone Cold is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Glory To The Brave. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Glory To The Brave is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade.
