This disc has all of the essential Harry Edison and Earl Hines classics. After seeing I Cover The Waterfront, I had to have a good Harry Edison and Earl Hines cd. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like The Definitive Black and Blue Session.

Just Squeeze me is cool work of Harry Edison and Earl Hines. But Not For Me is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Harry Edison and Earl Hines offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Mean to Me is probably the most interesting track on The Definitive Black and Blue Session. I Surrender Dear is a exquisite song and it grows on you. Get The Definitive Black and Blue Session and turn on The One I Love Belongs To Somebody Else if you are going to sip your wine late at night.
