Lead single “Second Waltz (D. Schostakowits” and “Der verzauberte See (A. Liadow” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Bun B. Hear has compared writing for James Last’s new album to that on ‘(1996) Classics from Russia’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. IF YOU LIKE ALL James Last’S SONG GO FOR IT! Last Hot Album by James Last
is the album’s biggest hit, I think.
Only one song from (1996) Classics from Russia named Der verzauberte See (A. Liadow really got me. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in (1996) Classics from Russia. Don’t judge Andante Variationen #6 (P. Tsc on the first listening. Nice and different song. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. In Eine Steppenskizze (A. Borodin it becomes nowhere more obvious that James Last has yet to define own style. This is one hell of a track. In Second Concerto (S. Rachmanino the music gets its power. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of James Last.
