Greatest Hits carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This album has some very good songs like Rope The Moon and Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident). The sound of Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident) is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. No Man’s Land - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Life’s A Dance is the albums biggest surprise. I Swear is almost impossible to review. Vocals of John Michael Montgomery in I Love The Way You Love Me really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Greatest Hits. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. The first time I listened to Cowboy Love I was struck by its amazing sound. There is astounding mix of music in Friends. Beer And Bones actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on John Michael Montgomery’s face. Angel In My Eyes is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Greatest Hits. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener.
