Junie was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Junie and The Westbound Years together. Junie’s debut, ‘The Westbound Years’, does not fit easily into one genre. Now signed to Junie’s EMI Records, the title track from second album “The Westbound Years” leads Junie’s back-to-school campaign. The Westbound Years constantly brilliant.

The sound of Tight Rope is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I loved Walt’s Third Trip the first time I heard it. A fantastic track full of wonder. If you are a Junie fan, you will love When We Do. Johnny Carson Samba is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Junie II is a striking and quite long song. Not as Good as You Should is almost impossible to review. Junie is hitting on all cylinders in Cookies Will Get You. Freeze is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The Westbound Years. This track is clearly meant to showcase Junie’s vocal abilities. Granny’s Funky Rolls Royce - a classic song. Junie III is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Junie ever produced. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Suzie I just LOVE this mix! Still going through The Westbound Years and coming to appreciate Super Groupie more and more with every listen. Suzie Thundertussy pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Within the first few notes of Spirit it’s perfectly clear that Junie is living this song. I like Junie’s Ultimate Departure [#] because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming.
