Some call Everything’s Gonna Be Alright from My Blues as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. A fantastic track full of wonder. Gumbo Blues make listening to Kim Wilson like being in some sort of time warp. I loved Hop, Skip and Jump the first time I heard it. First time I heard My Blues was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Oh Baby is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through My Blues. Tell Me Why is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Things Ain’t Right - a classic song. Kim Wilson has astounded me with this amazing track. Once you hear Trying To Make A Living, you will listen to it over and over. West Helena Woman is the first taste of the new album. Your Funeral and My Trial is a great opener for My Blues.
