While no new Lynwood Slim album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1997 tour in North America. Lost In America isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Lynwood Slim’s album Lost In America falls to No. 2 with 913,000, a sales slide of 77%. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album.
Atlanta Blues is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Cried Last Night is outstanding work of Lynwood Slim. Got To Change (3:44) a good melody. I’m Tired is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. It’s Obdacious - A classic Lynwood Slim track. Lynwood Slim allows each song to breathe and flourish. Messin’ With My Bread is pretty funky and mellow. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Lynwood Slim. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Album opener Tried To Call You is a bright, upbeat ditty.
