After debuting at No. 1 last week, Madonna’s album English (full, 1996, Madonna) falls to No. 2 with 919,000, a sales slide of 90%. There is no doubt that Madonna has talent. English (full, 1996, Madonna) is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Requiem For Evita
is the most memorable and amazing.
Madonna must have run out of lyrics on the next track Requiem For Evita. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. On This Night Of A Thousand Stars is nothing but pure genius. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Song Buenos Aires is actually a funny song. When listening to Another Suitcase In Another Hall, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. After you’ve listened to Goodnight And Thank You, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. The sound in The Lady’s Got Potential is really warm and Madonna’s signature voice is still very much present. Charity Concert - The Art Of The Possible still maintains something of a specific flourish. I’d Be Surprisingly Good For You - This one is lively and fun. I can’t stop playing Hello And Goodbye. Peron’s Latest Flame is possibly the best song Madonna has come up. Madonna rocks harder than ever with A New Argentina. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Don’t Cry For Me Argentina - another great track from the English (full, 1996, Madonna) album. On The Balcony Of The Casa Rosada 2 is probably one of Madonna’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. High Flying , Adored is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Rainbow High as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. You have to get essence of the Rainbow Tour’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. I listened to the opening track The Actress Hasn’t Learned The Lines and liked it a lot. And The Money Kept Rolling In (And Out) is one of the best records ever. Partido Feminista is a fine track on any terms. She Is A Diamond gives taste of what makes Madonna special as a musician. Santa Evita is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. One listen to the sheer beauty of Waltz For Evita & Che was all I needed. Your Little Body’s Slowly Breaking Down - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. In You Must Love Me the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Eva’a Final Broadcast is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Simple and heartfelt closing track Latin Chant closes English (full, 1996, Madonna) on a high note. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion.
