nine years ago, Manmachineman briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Travelling Bass”. On the Latvia charts, superstar Manmachineman’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Manmachineman’s debut, ‘The Rhytmdesign Rising’, does not fit easily into one genre. Unappreciated gift to Acid Jazz
Manmachineman is hitting on all cylinders in .
Travelling Bass (1:31) a good melody. No Manmachineman song has come close to capturing my attention as Chess did. Electricity Babies - A nice song. Psychedelic Green is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Manmachineman released so far. Funk Corner catches attention immediately, Sundance is a exquisite sing-along. Sunset Blvd defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Arabesque (Night Mix) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. The first time I listened to Time Warp I was struck by its marvelous sound. Mitropa is a bit of a show-tune. Voice of Manmachineman in Maelcum’s Score is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. All Time Back Of My Mind (7:45) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Seemsteam - A classic Manmachineman track. Wuz Goin On ? is one of the coolest songs Manmachineman has ever recorded. Once you hear Threethirtytwopm, you will listen to it over and over. Subway Out - Check out that bassline!
