This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Mannheim Steamroller has. Since Mannheim Steamroller last CD (Christmas In The Aire) on EMI Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is one of the best Cd’s Mannheim Steamroller has dropped to date. If I may, I suggest “Joy To The World”. That one song is amazing!
is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
Although Joseph Dear, Oh Joseph Mine is very melodic it is far from sad. Listening to Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer you can hear that Mannheim Steamroller has still amazing chemistry with band members. Herbei, Oh Ihr GlG¤ubigen (O Come All Ye Faithful) is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Once you hear Pat-A-Pan, you will listen to it over and over. A great put together song. Angels We Have Heard On High gets you up and jumping. Gagliarda is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. There is amazing mix of music in Los Peces En El Rio. This song is dynamic and dramatic. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Christmas In The Aire. I like Jingle Bells because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming.
