On Tir Na Mara: The Sea Kingdom album, Melanie O’Reilly have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Since Melanie O’Reilly last CD (Tir Na Mara: The Sea Kingdom) on EMI Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. Tir Na Mara: The Sea Kingdom is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Mo Bhryn Ar An Bhfarraige and This Place is really good.
is simply marvelous.
Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think This Place is my favorite song on Tir Na Mara: The Sea Kingdom. Feis is simply astounding. Oilen Dragochta has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. This is one hell of a track. Annie Moore is the song that really did it for me. Tir na Mara very upbeat. From the moment you listen to Buille you’re hooked. Rince is one of these floating songs.
