It has been one years Merzbow’ last studio CD, “1930″ which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Since completing 1997’s ‘Intro’, Merzbow fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Lead single “Intro” and “1930″ start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This album is in perfect progression from Merzbow!
is the album’s biggest hit, I think.
I hope to keep hearing Merzbow works for a long time to come. Munchen is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Merzbow has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. You can find feelings on this piece of art.
