Morgenrote - Der Schrei Nach Finsternis isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since Mystic Circle last CD (Morgenrote - Der Schrei Nach Finsternis) on Blue Note Records back in 1997, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is the first studio album from Mystic Circle since bad diagnosis in 1997. Smart music for smart people.
is such a gorgeous and optimistic song that things can get just better.
Morgana’s Curse is a bit different from Mystic Circle stereotypical stuff. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Graveyard Dreams. Bloodlust (When the Wolf Awake) is such a amazing and optimistic song that things can get just better. Throne of the Night is pretty funky and mellow. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Medina (Satan’s Whore) is another favourite of mine. Kiss from a Vampire - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. The sound in Morgenrote is really warm and Mystic Circle’s signature voice is still very much present.
