Since Ottmar Liebert last CD (Leaning into the night) on SixSteps records back in 1997, I have felt a massive void in my life. Leaning into the night is an amazing album, racked with beauty.On the Greece charts, superstar Ottmar Liebert’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. If you love Ottmar Liebert as much as I do, then Ottmar Liebert Leaning into the night is the CD for you!
A unique and uplifting song.
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Prelude No. 3 hits the heart. Nice and different song. Adagio assai - My least favorite song on this album. The Winding Road is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. In The Call it becomes nowhere more obvious that Ottmar Liebert has yet to define own style. Premiere Gymnopedie is perfect. I like the idea behind Morning Arrival in Goa. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Bombay is a bit of a show-tune. “O Mio Babbino Caro” is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Leaning into the night have ended.
