While no new Patti Smith album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1997 tour in Europe. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Patti Smith. It’s natural for Patti Smith to take a stab at ‘1959′ considering her long-professed love for Orkrist. If I may, I suggest “1959″. That one song is amazing!
which is my favorite is a truly Patti Smith sounding song.
blue poles is astounding song though, very addictive. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is dead city. In death singing full palet of sound is used by Patti Smith to accentuate the presentation. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Peace and Noise. The opening track last call is very much like you would expect from other albums. memento mori - I just love it. spell one is one of the better boring ones. waiting underground - This one makes me want to not only sing along. In whirl away the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
