Since completing 1997’s ‘The Shadow’, Paul Lawler fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. After seeing The Shadow, I had to have a good Paul Lawler cd. Lead single “The Shadow” and “Ghost Town” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I wish that “Bronx Age” album was instrumental.
There is astounding mix of music in .
Ghost Town is a very catchy tune. Simple and heartfelt closing track Area 51 closes Bronx Age on a high note. I listened to the opening track Desert Drive and liked it a lot. When I listen to Eye For An Eye in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Bronx Age is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. The Harbour is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Bronx Age.
