On The Mask: Original Motion Picture Score, CD2 album, Randy Edelman have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Lead single “Opening-The Origin Of The Mask” and “Tina” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is the first studio album from Randy Edelman since bad diagnosis in 1994. Unappreciated gift to Soundtrack
rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo.
Tina is probably the highlight of the album. Voice and instruments in Carnival complement each other. Transformation is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Tango In The Park is possibly the best song Randy Edelman has come up. Randy Edelman breathes new life into the music in Lovebirds. I like to sing along with Out Of The Line Of Fire, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. A Dark Night is really a nice song to relax and listen too. The Man Behind The Mask as a highlight of The Mask: Original Motion Picture Score, CD2 contains a ton of perfect melodies. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Looking For A Way Out is really the reason why I recommend buying The Mask: Original Motion Picture Score, CD2. The Search is probably one of Randy Edelman’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Forked Tongue - I like this one. Music of Milo To The Rescue is gentle, never overbearing. The Mask Is Back has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Randy Edelman’s strong vocals come to the fore. A unique and uplifting song.
