This is the first studio album from Red Garland since bad diagnosis in 1996. Red Garland’s debut, ‘The P.C. Blues’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album has some very good songs like Ahmad’s Blues and Lost April. Exciting stuff.
is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo.
I like to sing along with Lost April, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. I believe Why Was I Born? is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. Tweedle Dee Dee is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Red Garland released so far. The P.C. Blues rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo.
