This is the first studio album from Reinhard Mey since bad diagnosis in 1995. On Zwischen Zurich und Zu Haus - Live (CD1) album, Reinhard Mey have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This is one of the best Cd’s Reinhard Mey has dropped to date. This album is in perfect progression from Reinhard Mey!
Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think is my favorite song on Zwischen Zurich und Zu Haus - Live (CD1).
Musikanten Sind In Der Stadt - A catchy, upbeat tune. This song may be the most meaningful. Der Morder Ist Immer Der Gartner good vocals. Some call Hasengebet from Zwischen Zurich und Zu Haus - Live (CD1) as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Die Wurde Des Schweins Ist Unantastbar is the amazing blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. When I listen to Nein, Meine Sohne Geb’ Ich Nicht in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Frieden have really caught my ear and imagination. Ich Mochte! - Okay, I just talked about depth. Wie Ein Baum, Den Man Fallt sets the tone for the entire album. Reinhard Mey offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Reinhard Mey has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving.
