Renaud had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This disc has all of the essential Renaud classics. Self-described as Easy Listening with lots of words, Renaud comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. To me Renaud is the best band ever.

Ou C’Est Que J’Al Mis Mon Flin is the gorgeous blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Blew our minds when we first heard It Is Not Because You Are. Oscar is the albums biggest surprise. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. C’Est Mon Dernier Bal is really the reason why I recommend buying Master Serie. Dans Mon H.L.M. is pretty funky and mellow. The sound of Manu is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Ma Gonzesse is another strong production from Renaud. First time I heard Chanson de Pierrot was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Hexagone stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Societe Tu M’Auras Pas is a striking and quite long song. Renaud is one of artists that allow his songs like Laisse-Beton to stand on their own and be heard. Je Suis une Bande de Jeunes is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. I can’t stop humming along Boum. Amoureux de Paname is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
