Xytras’s Passage carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Xytras’s Passage isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since Samael last CD (Xytras’s Passage) on Columbia Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. If you love Samael as much as I do, then Samael Xytras’s Passage is the CD for you!
Within the first few notes of it’s perfectly clear that Samael is living this song.
Glanzendes Konigreich good vocals. Des Engels Untergang to me is the best you can get from Samael. In Jupiterianische Schwingungen Samael spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Although Die Vorher Kamen is very melodic it is far from sad. I came to like Der Stamm Kains. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. I can’t stop playing Mein Retter. Wintersonnenwende is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Only one song from Xytras’s Passage named Ein Mensch Im Kopf really got me.
