It has been fourteen years SAVE FERRIS’ last studio CD, “It Means Everything” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. SAVE FERRIS’s debut, ‘It Means Everything’, does not fit easily into one genre. Lead single “The world is new” and “Nobody but me” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. If you want to hear real Ska, get this record now!
I have all of SAVE FERRIS’s tracks and is probably the most his introspective effort.
Nobody but me - another great track from the It Means Everything album. Superspy is simple, dignified and effective, SAVE FERRIS refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Within the first few notes of Come on Eileen it’s perfectly clear that SAVE FERRIS is living this song. SAVE FERRIS sings Goodbye in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. First time I heard Sorry my friend was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Little differences had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Spam has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Under 21 one of the best in my collection. Some of the arrangements found on It Means Everything are surprisingly edgy.
