There were many famous songs of Schnittke, Alfred available. eleven years ago, Schnittke, Alfred briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “The Story Of An Unknown Actor II”. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Schnittke, Alfred’s new album to that on ‘Schnittke, Alfred - Film Music’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. I wish that “Schnittke, Alfred - Film Music” album was instrumental.
Opening track shows the best of Schnittke, Alfred.
The Story Of An Unknown Actor II was the first single release from the album Schnittke, Alfred - Film Music. The opening track The Story Of An Unknown Actor III is very much like you would expect from other albums. The Story Of An Unknown Actor IV great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool. The Story Of An Unknown Actor V is pretty funky and mellow. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. I can’t stop humming along The Story Of An Unknown Actor VII. Simple and heartfelt closing track The Story Of An Unknown Actor VIII closes Schnittke, Alfred - Film Music on a high note. The Story Of An Unknown Actor IX is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. I can’t stop playing The Story Of An Unknown Actor X. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. The Story Of An Unknown Actor XII - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. The Story Of An Unknown Actor XIII is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Sport, Sport, Sport I. Fanfares is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Sport, Sport, Sport III. Fans is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Sport, Sport, Sport IV. Tigers is perfect. Sport, Sport, Sport V. Winners is a striking and quite long song. What sets Sport, Sport, Sport VI. Finale apart is Schnittke, Alfred’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Schnittke, Alfred rocks harder than ever with Agony I. Alexander’s Palace. This song may be the most meaningful. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Agony V. Conclusion is worth the money. The sound in Agony VI. Finale is really warm and Schnittke, Alfred’s signature voice is still very much present. Music For An Imaginary Play I. The Winter Road is another favourite of mine. Music For An Imaginary Play II. A Wending Melody I just LOVE this mix! If you are a Schnittke, Alfred fan, you will love Music For An Imaginary Play III. March.
