There were many famous songs of Sid Hille available. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Sid Hille energies, virtually a rebirth. Now signed to Sid Hille’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “Deep North - The Quiet Place” leads Sid Hille’s back-to-school campaign. Deep North - The Quiet Place is not something you should pass up.
is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside.
It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: The Miracle, which shows, blatantly, how much Sid Hille has evolved as a singer. When I listen to Trees Bow Down to the Winds of the East in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. The Sound of Water make listening to Sid Hille like being in some sort of time warp. In As the Stars Fade Away full palet of sound is used by Sid Hille to accentuate the presentation. I can’t stop humming along Whisper in a Hurricane. Listening to Never Born, Never Died you can hear that Sid Hille has still amazing chemistry with band members. Like Falling Leaves - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody.
