While no new Skaos album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Africa. IF YOU LIKE ALL Skaos’S SONG GO FOR IT! Self-described as Ska with lots of words, Skaos comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Skaos “Back To Live” is an amazing album.
This track is a great song that still never gets old.
After Midnight has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Skaos’s strong vocals come to the fore. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Back To Live. Straight To Your Heart - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Oh Sally - My least favorite song on this album. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. These Boys is a song to enjoy for years to come. After you’ve listened to Everything Girl But You, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Munsters is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Superhero - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Music and lyrics of Do The Ska creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Music of Oh Sally is gentle, never overbearing. Straight To Your Heart is gorgeous and different song. I like Brainkiller because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Jungle Beat is a exquisite sing-along. If you are a Skaos fan, you will love Everything Girl But You. Better Beware is simple, dignified and effective, Skaos refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Bonehead is astounding. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Skaos offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself.
