It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Slim Whitman energies, virtually a rebirth. Now signed to Slim Whitman’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Rose Marie CD 5″ leads Slim Whitman’s back-to-school campaign. I am not a real Country music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Rose Marie CD 5′ really is amazing. Such great and happy songs.
is really the reason why I recommend buying Rose Marie CD 5.
I’ll Sail My Ship Alone(1996) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Still going through Rose Marie CD 5 and coming to appreciate River Of Tears(1961) more and more with every listen. Blues Stay Away From Me(1996) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. A Fool Such As I(1960) is the first taste of the new album. Once you hear The Letter Edged in Black(1959), you will listen to it over and over. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. A Tree In The Meadow(1996) still maintains something of a specific flourish. The Prisoner’s Song(1960) - A catchy, upbeat tune. Heartbreak Hill(1960) is astounding. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. I like the idea behind When I Call On You(1961). In You’re The Only One(1960) the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Blues Stay Away from Me(1962) is one of the more up-tempo songs on Rose Marie CD 5. I now have I’ll Sail My Ship Alone(1960) as one of my personal favorites. What Kind of God (Do You Think You Are)(1959) is another strong production from Slim Whitman. A Tree In The Meadow(1959) is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Whispering Hope(1960) is one of the best records ever. You can find feelings on this piece of art. From the moment you listen to An Evening Prayer(1960) you’re hooked. Jesus Took My Burden(1960) is a great opener for Rose Marie CD 5. Two Loves Have I(1960) is a bit of a show-tune. Sunrise(1960) is simply astounding. Rose Marie CD 5 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Walk Beside Me(1960). One listen to the sheer beauty of Each Step I Take(1960) was all I needed. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. He Lives On High(1960) makes a person feel exquisite. Today Is Mine(1960) - To me, this is the best song on the Rose Marie CD 5. It’s such an underrated song.
