Since completing 1995’s ‘Dance To The Music’, Sly and the Family Stone fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Dance to the Music is the best essence of Sly and the Family Stone.

Once Higher gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. I Ain’t Got Nobody (For Real) is almost impossible to review. Sly and the Family Stone has astounded me with this amazing track. Ride The Rhythm (2:49) a good melody. When listening to Color Me True, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. I can’t stop humming along Are You Ready. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Don’t Burn Baby from the beginning to the end. I’ll Never Fall In Love Again have really caught my ear and imagination. Soul Clappin’ - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
