Remote Control is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Since completing 1997’s ‘Empires’, Snog fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Snog on ‘Empires’. Overall, I would highly recommend Remote Control CD.
Best song on the album, love it.
This is one hell of a track. Corporate Slave is a bit different from Snog stereotypical stuff. Once Cliche gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Born To Be Mild (Soma Remix) - I just love it. Spermy Man (Out Of Sync Mix) is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Hey, Christian God (Sacred Mushroom Ii) is probably the most interesting track on Remote Control. Shop (U.S.C.W.F. Ii) is pretty funky and mellow. Cliche (Snog Vs Q-Kontrol) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Bank is another favourite of mine. One Way Ticket To The Womb is a great opener for Remote Control. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Snog. This song may be the most meaningful. What sets The Dying Man (Live) apart is Snog’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Real Wise Yuppie - Born To Be Mild (Live) hits the heart.
