eight years ago, Spear briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Sound Of Sands”. There is so much to love about Spear, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album has some very good songs like The Names and Sound Of Sands. Spear “In Search Of Sparks” is an amazing album.

Lyrics of Sound Of Sands are precise and evocative. The opening track Poeme Iv is very much like you would expect from other albums. Spear has astounded me with this amazing track. I was truly moved when I heard The Work. Once you hear Hearing The Light, you will listen to it over and over. After you’ve listened to La Chanson Du Soir, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. The First Breath After Death has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Spear’s strong vocals come to the fore.
