Jim Jones has compared writing for Spitz’s new album to that on ‘Hachimitsu’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It has been nine years Spitz’ last studio CD, “Hachimitsu” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Spitz’s debut, ‘Hachimitsu’, does not fit easily into one genre. Hachimitsu is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Although is very melodic it is far from sad.
Namida Ga Kirari is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Arukidase Kuroba is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Runa Runa is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Spitz must have run out of lyrics on the next track Ai No Kotoba. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Tongari ‘95. Ajisai Douri is a very catchy tune. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Robinson is my favorite song on Hachimitsu. Y is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Gurasu Hoppa is a strong cut, one of many. Kimi To Kurasetara - another great track from the Hachimitsu album.
